4 Crash reports

This is useful to troubleshoot your app by understanding 4 different crash reports.

  • Application crash: app is halted due to bad access or programming errors
  • Low memory: Low memory warning cause system to kill the app so to free up sufficient memory
  • User force-quit: exception code 0xdeadfa11. Force quit when user holds down the home button for 6 sec.
  • Watchdog timeout: exception code 0x8badf00d. Timeouts when app takes too long to launch or terminate

Crash log is located on Mac OS X at ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<DEVICE_NAME>.

<DEVICE_NAME> is the name of the iPhone or iTouch.

All logs contain stack traces for each thread at the time of termination except for the low memory crash logs.
